Gabriele Sauberer

Born in 1967, PhD, Specialist in Slavic languages and Russian linguistics.Collaboration in and management of several academic research projects in the field of Slavic linguistics. Research Assistant at the University of Vienna, Institute of Slavic Languages (1990-1998). After pursuing an interdisciplinary bundle of studies with focus on Eastern European Languages and many years of scientific project management at the University of Vienna, she finished an intensive and innovative post graduate course "European Project Management (EUPROMA) at the Viennese Institute of professional promotion (bfi). Consultant to European eContent and 6th Framework Programmes. As a pioneer in the field of professional preparation and management of EU funded projects, Gabriele Sauberer designed and performed many projects at European, regional, national and international level and developed trainings and seminars with focus on European and International topics. Executive Secretary of TermNet since August 2005, Director since August 2002, Deputy Director of Infoterm since July 2000; TermNet and Infoterm Project Manager since 1999.

Christian Galinski

Christian Galinski is a world-wide renowned expert in multilingual aspects of modern society in general and of specialized communication, information and documentation, librarianship and archives, information and knowledge management, methodology standardisation, the legal implications, etc. in particular. He is one of the initiators of the discussion concerning the multilingual nature of our information society. C. Galinski was instrumental in founding or established himself many institutions and organisations in the field of terminology and language resources, which was pioneering in creating the awareness for the importance of language in all walks of modern society. After pursuing Japanese and Chinese studies as well as communication studies at the University of Bonn he spent two years in Japan for further studies and research on the history of Japanese education. Being a registered court translator for Japanese since 1976 he founded a private language and consultancy service (1977-1979). In 1979 he joined the International Information Centre for Terminology (Infoterm) as a professional and in 1986 succeeded Prof. Felber as Director of Infoterm and also as Secretary of the Technical Committee ISO/TC 37 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). C. Galinski conceived, planned and managed a large number of projects for UNESCO and the European Union institutions, as well as for enterprises and other organisations; consultant to many projects at international or national level (China, Russia etc.).

Alexandra joined TermNet in November 2004 and is responsible for the Office Management. Born 1966 in Wiener Neustadt (Lower Austria), educated to a druggist, gathered professional experiences as Product Manager in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry (Neuber) and as Head of Logistics and Production Planning Department at Pierre Lang (jewellery production). After founding a family, she worked part-time as a Project Assistant at a social oriented non-profit organization.

Dorothée Eichfelder

For over 30 years, Dorothée Eichfelder fought for the cause of terminology in three specialized agencies of the United Nations, i.e. IAEA, UNIDO and UNESCO, where she first worked as a translator, subsequently reorganized and ran the respective terminology, documentation and reference services, finally developed and established in two instances a terminology and reference database in collaboration with a computer expert.

Anja Drame

Anja is a freelance business consultant, trainer and specialist for cross-cultural communication + competence, diversity and conflict management, standardization, localization, international project management, language and terminology policies, sociolinguistics, and Africa. She is a graduate (M.A.) from the University of Leipzig, Germany, where she studied Applied Linguistics, LSP, African Studies and German as a Foreign Language. Parts of her studies she conducted in South Africa where she also taught German to students at the University of Stellenbosch and gained insight in an adult literacy project. She holds several additional skills certificates. Anja has extensive working experience in editing, public relations, conference/workshop organization and an interest in lobbying and collaborating with the International Organizations (UNESCO,UN DPI,WHO,ISO, etc.). Besides German she speaks English, some Kiswahili, has a passive knowledge of French and Afrikaans and is currently trying to improve her Spanish. Whenever possible she travels the world close-up with the local people (some 25 countries so far). Her main residence is Germany. Anja joined the TermNet team in 2001.

Blanca Nájera

Born in Spain in 1980, Blanca Nájera holds a university degree in translation and interpreting gained from the University Alfonso X, el Sabio in Madrid. Blanca is a qualified and highly skilled freelance translator, with strong experience in the profession after working as a project manager and in-house linguist with several translation agencies across both Spain and Germany. Currently, Blanca is involved in the organisation of workshops on terminology training around the world. She has 4 years experience in different terminology related projects. After working closely across numerous projects, Blanca joined the TermNet team in 2006 as coordinator for TermNet Publisher, project manager and website coordinator. Her key fields of interest are terminology databases and tools, the implementation of new terminology strategies in business and networking.

Fabienne Nawrat, born in Ethiopia, father Belgian, mother Armenian. No wonder she grew up with six languages.  Studied mathematics, experiences in insurance and international management.  Since July 2003: representative of TermNet's Branch Office at the University for Applied Sciences in Cologne.

Born in 1962 in New York, three mothertongues (English, Swedish, German), educated in Europe (Stockholm, Paris and Vienna), University studies (Arabic Studies/Philology and International Trade), Diploma in Bibliography and Classification. Background in Banking, International Trade and crossborder Top Management Executive Search (H. Neumann International and Korn/Ferry International). Eva has extensive experience in management consultancy, human resources, public relations & marketing, editing, translations, intercultural topics, and in January 2006 founded her own firm European Team.
